Association puts losses from evacuation flights at 500 mln rbl/day

MOSCOW, Mar 26 (PRIME) -- The losses of Russian airlines from evacuation flights amount to at least 500 million rubles per day, President of the Association of Air Transport Users Vladimir Tasun said in a letter to First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov, published on Thursday.

"Since these flights are only loaded one way, the direct loss of airlines for each of these flights is up to 2.5 million rubles, under the estimate of experts of the Association of Air Transport Users, if the flight is carried out on a narrow-bodied plane and up to 4.5 million rubles if it is carried out on a wide-bodied plane," Tasun said.

The official added that about 200 evacuation flights are carried out daily.
